First Release of the Game!

After all the days of sweat, blood, labor, and tears, Super Smash Ponies finally releases it’s first build. This build comes with 5 multiplayer stages, all mane six characters, and a bonus Adventure Mode level for you to try out.

All the previous features posted on this website are integrated in this first release, so we hope you will be able to enjoy it. Unfortunately, we still need time to port this to Mac OS X so please be patient with us a little further.

Are you gonna change Twilight around because of her new transformation? Or are you perhaps thinking on the lines of something else, say an alt or completely separate character? Personally I could see Twilight and Princess Twilight being pretty different.

How do you make Fighting games in Gamemaker Studio?

You need to have mastery of the “if” statements and using variables. You’ll have to be able to format and structure the rules and construct of what you want in your fighting game (ex. physics, player states, combos.) It’s all in the mastery of ifs and variables.

submit up to three multiple approaches of shading and coloring

collaborate with multiple artists for a single submission

Um, no. Considering that we trust each other on the devteam, everyone in the devteam is entitled to playing the beta build - we don’t have to worry about our assets being leaked. Besides, who’d want to play a buggy leak anyway? Our game is still in a Sonic 2006 state.

based on the sound of the first 3 stage music you've released it sounds like a cross of brawl type music with some aspects of kingdom hearts thrown in. from a personal stand point I think you might make some of the other music more action orientated were as this sounds more like something you would hear if they were powering up or using a powerful spell. also can we have a download link to these songs? they are very high quality works of art

1) Not exactly. Kingdom Hearts music is inspired by various other musical pieces. Expect familiarities with other orchestral pieces in other games.

Sorry ‘bout this, but when I said “We’re keeping a melee feel” I wasn’t 100% correct.

To be more precise this is an excerpt from the FAQ: “A completely unique feel from that of it’s predecessors, Brawl, Melee, or 64. Not to be a clone.”
